So what, Obama wasn't smooth for a change. I get it. My husband still stutters when he talks about his girls as sexual beings and they're 23 and 20! We preached respect for their bodies, never doing anything they weren't comfortable with and protection, protection, protection. I didn't want my girls to follow in my footsteps. I didn't want them to go through the pain of losing a child (YES to me it was punishment). I didn't want them to ever, ever do anything they weren't ready, emotionally and physically, for. Since I don't think premarital sex is wrong that's the best we could do.
We did talk to our girls constantly about sex when they were growing up. Funny thing, they both held on to their virginity a lot longer than most of their friends from the "moral" families. Ironic...
As to Obama being ready to run the country because he gaffed the comment...Heck, look what we've delt with for almost 8 years...Best thing about it is all the "bushism" calendars I've collected.
