I think that is great! I am glad others thought this was in poor taste, too. I posted my thoughts to another group, and was told I was being "too sensitive". Well, maybe I am.

I spent the entire weekend answering questions about our decision to adopt from my family. Now, these are people that I KNOW love us, support our decision, and would do anything to help. In spite of their love, their ignorance of adoption - the process, the legalities, and the terminology, they asked several UNINTENTIONALLY offensive comments (referring to their friends as having "real" kids and an adopted one, things like that). For my family that I love, I smiled, and reminded myself that they didn't know better, and that there was plenty of time to educate them.

McDonald's paid big bucks to lots of people to develop this commercial, to run it through legal, to test it's effectiveness on consumers - TO SELL US MORE FRENCH FRIES AND HAMBURGERS! That is the only reason the ad exists! To sell us junk! For that reason, I am allowing myself to be sensitive, and voice my opinion!

Goodness, my husband eats enough nuggets that we probably paid for the darn thing!
