that is whatwe had to do in our situation. We ran the ad in our county as well as the county of his last known address. We even had to have our attorney look on the fathers registry and we went as far as pulling up public information off line reguarding his criminal background and how many times he had been in and out of prison, how many alias names he went by and all of his offenses so that the Judge could tell we really tried to locate him. It also gave the judge information on what kind of guy we were dealing with. we weren't dealig with taking away rights of a good guy who unknowingly got me pregnant that was willing and able to be a good parent we were dealing with a serious criminal who had abandoned his child for 9 years. Never once tried to see or even meet him and we have been in the yellow pages at the same address the whole time. It's not my fault he made no effort, And the judge took one look at the info we provided and he signed offon it with no problems. PLEASE make sure the spelling of his name is correct when the ad runs so you don't run into that problem, I have heard of that being a big problem.
