My husband would like to adopt my 5 year old son. We are unable to locate the father and are going to serve him by publication. He doesn't live in TX, but my husband, my son and I all do. When we went to file the papers today the clerk told us that we had to publish in a Travis county newspaper, since that's where we're filing. My question is- do I also have to publish a notice in an out of state paper in the county of his last known address?
