Sometimes when you adopt older children, they may be physically 8 but are developmentally 3 or 4. This is the case with one of our new sons.

Due to neglect in his past, and current behaviours, we are taking our son back to about 3 years old. I'd like to research this more, but don't know if this has a name - I don't know what to put into the search engines.

Any ideas?
