I'm jumping in here because we dropped off our formal application at our agency today. Our caseworker from our adoption last year isn't there anymore so we're getting a new worker. And tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary for getting the call about our daughter. Friday is our first Gotcha Anniversary.
But my husband's biological clock is ticking and he wants to have all of our kids before he turns 40 in Septemter. We got our tax refund, paid off the adoption loan and turned in our application!
We had a bumpy road to adopting our daughter. We waited 20 months, had two failed matches and nearly went over the edge on the emotional roller coaster.
I'm saying out loud right now that I DESERVE a smooth ride this time!
So next time I go to the store, I'm stocking up on Mr. Clean Magic Erasers so I can get our walls ready for our homestudy visit, whenever that might be!
How long did it take the rest of you to get the homestudy update done? We have had one done before but the social worker who did it was super slow!
