The 2 kids we were told about did not work out. We were one of three families that were interviewed and after a 2 1/2 week process the worker chose another family. Which is fine, we know the right kids will come to us at the right time. The harder part of the day was that in the same phone call our worker told us we were not selcted for them, she told us about another sib set. They sounded perfect excect they are almost 5 and almost 6. We had specified that we want 2 - 3 kids 0 - 5, but at least one of them umder 2. We have been trying to have a baby for over 6 years and are also trying to fill in the gap a little having an almsot 8 year old. We know we told our worker that, but I guess she forgot. And I guess it was kind of not okay for us to say "no". And saying no was one of the hardest things I have ever done. But I know they aren't my boys. This is when I miss having an LDS worker. Because saying "No, it does not feel right, it is not right for our family" is not good enough for the county. So, our worker goes on to say that now we will have a longer wait (meaning up to 6 months) because we want young ones. But, she has knows this from day one. It is just frustrating and I wish growing my family could be easier.
