From what I understand since you dont have to terminate parental rights all you have to do is file your adoption paperwork for step parent adoption. If you are in CA, go to
www.courtinfo.ca.gov and go to forms and adoptions. In the step parent adoption form there is a box you check if you were artifically inseminated. I hope this helps.
