Good question!
I've learned to not live my life worrying about what others think.
I've learned that I am a Mama Bear and will take you out if you try to hurt my kids, emotionally or otherwise.
I've learned that being a parent of SN kids can be very lonely sometimes and you have to find others in similar situations.
I've learned that as a society, we are not as sensitive to others as I thought. I am so tired of hearing people say, "I'm retarded" , or "You're a retard" when they do something foolish.
I've learned not to compare my kids to other kids, and to celebrate their accomplishments and their personalities, regardless of what the neighbors child can do.
