Honestly, she'll probably bang, throw and scream in her room and wouldn't give you guys any extra sleep that way either KWIM? I don't know of the legality of locking her in her room, sorry.
Can you give her an air mattress and put her outside your door for now, for a few days and slowly move the mattress closer and closer to her room??
