That's cool she called! I sent my dd's bmom a video of my dd last year and it was too much for her to handle...I think a phonecall would really mess her up...But she has my number and email and the door is always open...but I let her make all the moves as she's ready.
I have more frequent contact with dd's bdad (actually a step dad) and her brothers. He used to call more often too...but has his hands full as he's a single dad of 3 boys now.
It's hard to explain to my in-laws why contact always makes me shriek with excitement...it makes them feel insecure that we have an open adoption...so I don't bring it up anymore.
