My adoptive mother had this poem printed and framed as a birthday gift for me. One thing I was blessed with is parents who were very open about my adoption. I was told about my adoption starting before I could understand what it was. I was also told to tell any one who put me down about being adopted, "My parents chose me, they didn't have to take me."
