Thanks SOOO Much
Hi all we met the bithmom/grandmother/stepfatherand sister on yesterday it was a match made in heaven. God's blessing and spirit was definitely upon us. We met at a restaraunt. The family is such a beautiful family. Let me tell you this first, one week ago my SW called and told me there were 3 birthmothers looking at our family profile, so I prayed to God and asked him to use his holy spirit to assure the birthmom that was carrying our baby that my husband and I were the Christian home to train their child up in the ways of the Lord. Exactly, one week later my SW called and said you have been chosen by a family who has really fallen in love with you and your husband and they are certain you and your husband are the family to raise this little girl. I immediately burst into tears. Now back to the meeting, first of all when I walked into the restaraunt and looked at the birthmom I was so amazed at how much she resembled me. After first shedding a few tears when I gave them both gifts, and my husband and I told them how honored were to be chosen to love their little angel, we went on to talk, laugh, and get to know each other. Then we saw the pictures of the baby, the birthmom had brought along. Wow!!! She is soooo beautiful!! We fell in love with her instantly. There were two SW's present the birthfamily's SW and our SW. In our state, there is a seven day revocation period so our baby is in a foster care, due to agency policy. The birthfamily had requested direct placement from the hospital but since she was about four weeks early and we had not met the family at the time of birth, that was not possible. So immediatley following dinner the birthfamily said can we sign something to expedite this so they can take the baby home sooner, because we want them to take the baby home and we know about the effects of bonding early and she needs to be at home with her parents bonding with them. They indicated that they knew the foster home was probably a good home, but not the home they had chosen for the baby. I was really soooo happy that they had already had five days to think about all this since signing and they were still certain we were the parents to raise their precious little angel. The SW indicated we still needed to wait the seven days, which is fine, but I felt honored and blessed. We will take our baby home next Tuesday, and the birthmom will be there to hand the baby over to us. Keep us and the birthfamily in your prayers. God is soooo good, one week ago all this seemed sooo far away. To all those still waiting God said trust me, try me and I'll prove it, and he has proven it for us and he will prove it for you. May God Bless.
