Talking I'm a MOM!

Well, I haven't been on the boards for a while because I have been soooooooooooooooooooo blessed. On Jan 22, I got a call froma bmom that was only 6hrs away from me. I had to talk myself into calling her back, because I was so discouraged in this whole adoption process and I just prayed and cried and prayed and cried.

Well after talking to a very good friend, I decided to call her and sound somewhat interested. We decided to drive the 6hrs to meet the woman and her caseworker that was with an agency. Now you all know how I felt about agencies, but she had told me what the fees would be and I felt like we could afford it.

So then the following weekend (friday and saturday) well things went great and we felt comfortable with her and the situation. We came home that Saturday night and talked about how wonderful this woman seemed. I talked to her on Sunday and then Monday she called me to say that her blood pressure was too high and she might go into labor early although the baby wasn't due until feb 25th, but he was big enough to deliver.

Well Wednesday at noon she called and said the doctors told her to call us and tell us to come on up. Well.............we got her, she went into labor.....I was holding one leg and dh was holding the other. Friday 2/7/03 at 3:20 am Abraham was born weighing 6lbs4.5oz. and 19 in. long and a head full of hair. I cried as he came out and my feet were stuck. I looked at our bmom and she said to me, "Momma, go get your son." I almost passed out....I couldn't believe it. We all took pictures and held him and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. Anyway, we rejoiced and prayed over him and just had fun. The next day, my mother-in-law arrived and we just fell in love with him. That night the bmom spent the night with him, sang to him, prayed with him and made peace with him and said goodbye. The next day, she signed her papers and didn't hesitate once. She is at peace with it. Right now we are still here waiting to leave the state so we can go home! All I can say is to pray and let go take care of it. I'm still in shocked.

Well I don't want to take anymore time from my son, so I'll be on again another day.

Take care and thanks to you all for your support.

Peace & Blessings,

Abraham's Momma
