Don't forget to test him for HPylori
I had a friend who adopted 2 boys from Siberia that went for 2 solid years of meds for Giardia and the re-occurance - it can come back and back - you have to test 3 times negative before you are clear....the boys never did - finally a really on the ball Pedriatician - asked if the boys had been tested for h-pylori - NOPE - they tested them - positive - put on double dose of meds for both Giaradia and HP and boom - the boys are cured...
So make doubly sure about testing....
