OK, maybe I am being blunt, but where is the harm in what was said? I mean no matter if it is the birth sister or the birthmom who really is expressing the desire for a visit soon, is that a bad thing? To me it says they are interested, and they care. All good stuff IMO.
Speaking from another perspective, I recieved a note from my oldest DD's birthmom, asking us to please refrain from contacting her at all, when DD was about 8 mons old. At least your child's birthfamily are excited and willing to forge forward and build a relationship, that is a wonderful thing.
Not trying to appear unsupportive by my comment, just sharing my thoughts as someone who has been there, done that (a few times.)
