But I wouldn't read into it (well, I would, but everyone would tell me not to!) because I could see a 5 year old "writing" that to an aunt or another family member that they see infrequently. It's just a polite closing, KWIM?
But I understand the guilt aspect. And since I like to say "hope to hear from you soon" at the end of MY emails and I DO mean it, I get where you are coming from
