Is this normal? I've no clue. We live in TN. The father is nowhere to be found so we will have to do publice notifications to try and contact him. He will most likely default. Does this all sound like "normal" protocal for this unique situation?

If you end up needing a homestudy, call around for quotes. The price can vary from $500 to $2000 dollars. Just get out the phone book and start calling agencies-explain your situation and make sure you get one with a fair fee.

THERE ARE EIGHT DIFFERENT WAYS YOUR CHILD CAN DIE ON A CORDED WINDOW TREATMENT
Read "How Safe Cords Kill" at www.pfwbs.org
THREE CHILDREN HAVE STRANGLED TO DEATH SINCE ANGEL DIED ON 8/11/09.
Brandyn Coppedge died on 9/11/09. Rosie Smith died on 9/30/09 and Thapelo Kwofie died on 11/1/09. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is no longer recommending safety kits. They are now recommending that anywhere children live or visit should be free of corded window products.
