You didn't mention how old she is so I don't know if this will work at her age or at all...but with munchkin once she coudl crawl, she took exception to the crib, we would put a "nap mat" like they use in daycares on the floor of the room we were in at bedtime and lay her down on it and she would go to sleep there. Except if she woke up in the crib later, she would be upset. Have you seen those free standing gates? We laid the matress on the floor, put a few toys nearby, and put the gate around it wherever we were. So if daddy was finishing up homework in the study, we put her to bed there. If we were watching a movie in the living room, she went to bed there. We didn't engage her after bedtime ritual, kept lights low and voices quiet...but if she played instead of sleeping, we ignored her. Eventually she slept and she was quiet enough that we could do other things.
