Hmm. I only got two years of brownies because when we lived in Tucson they didn't have enough leaders. I remember we did some neat stuff when I was in 3rd grade: we were on one of those kid's shows in the audience; we visited the San Xavier mission. I remained in scouts for 35+ years. I was a jr, cadette and Sr. scout. (I was a First Class Scout - that was before they created the gold and silver awards.) I've worked with Brownies through Seniors as an adult.

I remember when Girl Scout cookies were $.45 a box. I also remember those buddy burners and frying an egg in a paper bag. I did a lot of backpacking as a cadette. (The last time I went I couldn't walk by the end of the three days let alone carry my pack over the mountain! That was about 12 years ago.) I remember in junior high I spent 2 weeks at girl scout camp hiking and gained 5 pounds.

This just brought back a lot of memories... but I'll spare you all. LOL
