Wow, buddy burners just brought back many memories for me.
I was a Girl Scout from 3 years of Brownies, Juniors, Cadets and Seniors. Some of my memories are going to day camp, then as I got older working the day camps. We also had a friend of the troop who was one of the oldest Girl Scouts. (she knew the founder, it was cool). Going to the week long camps every year, Stevens Ranch ruled, BTW. We were lucky enough to be able to meet at one of the Girl Scout properties so we always camped out there, it was the same place day camp was held at every year. I was given my first taste of "goatman" and snipe hunting. I was able to complete every thing except for my Gold Award (the highest one) I was one project short of completing it before I had to leave.
