I use the term bmom in these forums, but it's not my fave. My bson (another cumbersome term) has a "mother." He even has a "mother-in-law." Since I am no longer lawfully his mother, I guess that technically makes me his "mother-out-law."
Runners up would be "natural" or "first."
I also like the expression "life mother" a lot. I hope to be a "life friend."
