Check with your childrens pediatrician, When our daughter was born they gave us an awesome book that's about 1200 pages, and covers all the way up to age five.
Common things in it are, milestones, new vaccines (pros and cons) simple stuff (cradle cap, congestion etc) it went over different car seats (models) sibling rivalry (sp?) introducing new baby to siblings, preschool, etc etc...
There is also areas in each month of baby's first year to record the stuff he/she is doing, as well as an area for pics and vaccine records...
I'll look up the title and post it, but I know here it's a given that all pediatricians (well not all most) have it and it's given out at the hospitals to go home with the parents!!
