doubt he has much chance
That's a tricky one. On one hand I think that it's like with other adoptees, once the kid is old enough and wants to meet the parent, it's allowed. On the other hand, it depends on what he was in jail for as to if he could have contact with them, like if it was anything wierd with a kid or something like that(I'm not even asking). You knew where he was, gavee him every chance to respond and he didn't so I would think that the judge wouldn't let him do much now, he had his chance and lost it. My feeling is that he just wants to interrupt your new happiness, like most ex's seem to do at one time or another. Hopefully he will just go crawl under a rock but then again for the kids sake, if they want to meet him.....who knows. I know I haven't given you much of a definite reply, but I have an ex husband and an ex boyfriend, both dads to kids I have custody of and they seem to pop in long enough to mess the kids up mentally and emotionally and then disappear for a while. Hope all turns out well for you and bottom line, I doubt that he could get ANY custody and would be walking a thin line for even visitation, so cheer up and just be cautious.
