Age limits
The last writer was correct, the standard age rule for Indian adoption is that the younger parent can be no more than 40 years older than the child. At least the US adoption agencies we spoke to (4) enforced that equation. So in a couple where the younger spouse is 53, they would qualify for a child 13 or older. I'm unsure if there are exceptions in the case of special needs adoptions - that may be a possibility. Hope this helps.
