We're from the Austin area also. We have been married 18 yrs, I'm 36 and my hubby is 40. We have a 11 yr old bio son and are trying to foster/adopt. We were approved in Jan of this year. We are using an agency in Houston (we are between houston and austin) and not having much luck. We went to a Waiting Parents meeting last night and they gave us numbers on how many children are available in the region in each age group. It seems like a lot but when you factor in possible health problems and how many foster/adopt parents there are its not really that many. So we just keep on waiting and praying and knowing that "our" child is out there somewhere. We are searching for a 3-8 yr old boy or girl or both or either....lol

Bio Miracle  - J 11yrs old. 
Placement Mar 07 (2 days)- 4yrs old J & 5yrs old T - Emergency placement went to Spanish speaking home. Miss them and they are in our prayers.
August 07 - 4yr old K - Failed placement K was severe and we were told mild -level of care beyond our capabilities-she was never placed in our home. 
June 08 - 10 yr old R-Placement!!! Waiting to hear when she can come home!! Yippie!!
NO MORE WAITING!!!!
