That is great that you were matched so quickly! Are you with LDSFS? We are signed up with them, and have been certified since July of 2002. We expect another year wait, at least. I hope and pray that we don't. Please share any insights on how you were able to match so quickly.
About attaching. Once the little bundle of joy is placed into your arms, there is no going back. Your heart will be taken, hook line and sinker. (I know because we have one adopted son, who is the light of our lives.) One other thing, about emotions. Do you have a hard time attaching emotions with anyone? Including your wife and family? (Sorry if this is too personal). The reason I ask, is I have an aunt who married someone who never was able to become attached to others, or truly 'love' someone. They also adopted 2 children, but later they got divorced because of his issue with not being able to attach or love. (It stemmed from his childhood.)
When is the bmother expecting? It is great that she has family support to help her through this.
