We adopted our son in 2003 and our daughter in 2005. Son's adoption was relatively easy but my daughter's was really hard - almost 2 years in process and we lost a referral after our first trip. We now know why, we wouldn't have our daughter if it had happened any other way.
Both kids are doing great. My daughter has had a harder adjustment, probably due to being 6 mos older than my sonw as when she got home. I look at the two of them and think that we are the luckiest parents alive!
Our son is now 4 and and our daughter 2.5. We are in process for #3, so one more to come!
