As a b-mom, I would never forget my DD's birthday. I'm ridiculously good with dates I remember birthdays of people I havent talked to in 20 years. It's a running joke with my friends.
This is the first year I had contact with DD's family so I sent a message wishing everyone well, and letting amom know how much I remembered the day (she was with me the whole time I was in labor and delivery.) I know it touched her, which made me feel happy that I could do that!
If I was an adoptee and my b-mom forgot, well, I 'd be hurt. That's just me, I'm so OCD with remembering peoples b-days and making an effort to acknowledge the day I sometimes forget when people don't return the sentiment. Doesn't matter who it is. I personally have a hard time with that, that is not to say it would be intentional, KWIM?
