As for your 4 yr. old. I know how you feel. It is overwhelming when your child expresses that to you. My son says," I was in someone else's tummy, but you are my Mom!" I love being a parent. Just when you are wondering if what you're doing is good enough or if they will ever accept you...out of the blue something wonderful!
When I read your post it made me sad, but the ending really made me smile.
