There was a special on Dateline, I think, about this last night. A couple adopted fraternal twins at about toddler age from Russia. They were very sick but their health is excellent now. When they were 5 years old the adoptive parents found out that the first parents had also relinquished two sets of older twins - a set of girls and a set of boys. They were 12 and 11 I think. They ended up adopting all of the kids and have 6 kids now. It was a very good story with a happy ending for the kids. The parents are broke but very happy. They got a lot of financial support from their community, which has helped a lot.
