1. I just asked him if he wanted to include a written note before I sent if off and he said he would. Wow.

2. TG- PLEASE feel free to vent all you want!!! I agree completely that the general perception is that if the bparent cancels or postpones, it's due to lack of care or flakiness or instability, but if the aparents do it's just the best interests of the child or something they couldn't help. I remember reading when you first posted that in the Bparent discussion Brandy started and thinking it was both insightful and true. You have every right to vent so DO NOT think you have to put a disclaimer or not feel entitled to be frustrated about your situation. You have every right and should feel free to express it, without worrying what me, or any other amom will think.

3. Of course, being a 17-yr-old boy he didn't sit down and do it (write the note) and now he's having fun with a friend. I want to give him time to think about what he wants to say, so I've decided if he doesn't produce the note in a few weeks, I will ask him to do so, so I can get this sent off. Who knows, maybe he'll surprise me and actually do it today!
