We are Kati and Vince. We are the adoptive parents in what you would probably call "semi-open" adoption, although it feels more closed to me. We send letters and photos twice a year, and the birthparents said they wanted to send Yuna letters and things but they haven't yet. They also didn't want to meet us when we picked her up. I would really like to have contact with them, because Yuna has several bio siblings I'd like her to know. But I feel that in this case they have the control.
