I also was adopted from Catholic Charities in Baton Rouge, LA. I recently have found my parents, but we have yet to have met. what I did was call Catholic Charities, and asked them for all the information they could give me and they typed something up for me. It helped me get started, then I registered with the registry, and if they are registered, this could connect you. You have a name which is great, the only problem is that maybe she got remarried and where do you go. This is the problem I ran into. I would start with Catholic Charties first, and see what happens.
