My husband and I would like to adopt from Mexico as well. We are both Canadians (I am also Polish) living in Canada. One of our agencies started dealing with Mexico, but they do not have much information so far. Could you please let me know how the process works, how long it can be, how many times and for how long we have to go to Mexico and children available ( health, age, gender, single or siblings). I heard that there is a smaller chance of children to have FAS, because Mexican women generally do not drink during pregnancy. Is this correct? Also, I am Catholic and our child would be raised as Catholic. Since Mexico is mainly a Catholic country, would me being Catholic help in our adoption?
