You might be happy one day you left this job
Dear Dixie,
I understand completely what you are going through, especially with your management "requiring" near-constant non-paid overtime, super-human demands, etc. I worked for several years in a job where we would have to work every Saturday from November till March, plus stay later almost every day. Non-paid of course. The turnover rate was very high. My supervisor even got into a car accident on his way to work on Saturday because of stress. I always remember how angry they were when I couldn't make it to the office one Saturday because of freezing rain and long commute.
You will be much better off when you are able to spend more time with your beautiful son and then finding a job where they can really appreciate your hard work. You deserve much more than you are getting from them. Maybe it's G-d's way of getting you out of a job where you feel miserable. You are a brave person for taking the road that requires more effort and works for your family. I firmly believe that such things happen for a reason and you will find a job that's right for you. Don't get upset; let your ex-manager see how they will cope with the workload when you're gone. I am sure that in the end you will come out a winner.
Best, warmest regards,
Helen
