Well for what it's worth, I'm back. I feel like I got run over by a Mac truck!!
When I asked the Doc yesterday how much recovery time I'd need she said "Well the main thing is the anesthesia, what I'm going to do to you wont hurt!' LIAR< LIAR pants on fire!!! SHe did a DNC then the ablation, I was fine with the heavy IV sedation. I don't remember going into the OR is how good it was :-)
I remember the nurse talking about buying a philly cheese steak, and the next thing I know I'm sitting up in bed drinking water. Was some really good "stuff"
SO about one, my procedure was just before 12, I think, I know they loaded the IV around 11:45, I started getting crampy, which they said I would. Ok I've had bad cramps before, have given birth 4 times, I know the drill. OH MY GOD!!!!! I thought I was going to die. It was like one enormous contraction, that never quit. They gaVE me motrin and percoset and that didn't help. FRom 1 until about 9:30 all I could do was lay and moan. Couldn't find a comfy spot to lay. I tried heating pad, sock of rice heated in microwave, ANYTHING I could think of. To top it off I had a migraine that was making me sick to my stomach, along with the reisdual sedation effects, I hadn't eaten since the night before and anything I put in my stomach promptly came back up!! YUCK. Thankfully I had the foresight to have Nana take the girls to spend the night with her. My 2 yo wanted to be on the bed with me, which was fine, Only he wanted to fly like Buzz on the bed, and jump.
I am feeling better this morning, about what I thought I;d feel like yesterday. Still can't get any food into me. Oh well that's ok I can stand to lose a pound or 2 or 20 :-)
SO enough of that.
SOunds like things are kind of tough all over huh?
Our 2 yo wakes at 3 for his "bobbie" too, whatever gets me some extra sleep, I'm all for it.
We got about an inch of snow last night. When the girls get home Daddy will take them and the 2 yo out to play in it. Of course he doesn't know that yet, usually I take them out, but am going to milk my 2 days off this week. How bad is that??
Michelle, I've been meaning to tell you when our two older boys were 2 and 3 they were SOOOOO into Batman and Robin. for like a yr. They loved to watch the old batman, you know from the 60's? My step mother made them capes, 3 yo was Batman, 2 yo was Robin. But when we went to buy the material to make the capes the fabric store didn't have any shiny red material for Robin, so we go orange, and he LOVED it anyway.
I have a photo of the two of them with their capes and masks on, I'll see if I can find it and try and post it later.
The 2 yo is really into Buzz Lightyear right now. Infact he lives in his Buzz jammies, thanfully he now owns 7 pairs. He started out with one pair of footie Buzz jammies, the front looks like the front of Buzz, buttons and all, those are still his favorites, but they have a hole in the toe, and are getting a bit too small. Nana found 3 pair for him, but they just have the characters on them. I found some on-line at Disney store that look like the front of Buzz, they were on sale so I got 3 more. They don't have the feet in them, but he loves them.
Well mid-terms are this week and I have a couple of foul teens on my hands! FUN FUN FUN.
I sure hope everyone has a better day today than yesterday! Shelley
