First off...Glad you're here. This is a wonderful site and a wealth of information.
I commend you and DH for taking a step back and accepting adoption before proceeding. It sounds like you've handled it in such a healthy way.
We're in TX so I'm not familiar with CA agencies. I would recommend using an agencies that you can talk to other people that have used them at all stages of process. Also, it may sound hokey, but support groups in your area offer a great network of info. I'm sure others in CA will respond to your post, but please continue to keep us posted!
