Hi--I took my son to Italy while he was still a foster child. You need a court order stating that you have permission to take him abroad, and you need a copy of the original order giving DSS custody of the child.
You'll also need a copy of the child's birth certificate.
Ask your social worker to have the county/state attorney file a motion with the court to allow you to take the kid abroad.
