I am adopting for the first time and this will be my first child. I told my boss when we started the process in September. He was very supportive and thannkfully his one and only child was adopted so he seems to be supportive. I assured him that I was returning to work and may even consider working from home part time for a while.

However, I do have to wonder if they are ok with me leaving at a moments notice when I get the call. That could be tomorrow or even in the next moment.

How are you all handling this or how are you going to handle it?
