We are DTC 11/10/06 for our daughter (from China) - and had some concerns about how she would be accepted by our synagogue. We moved about a year and a half ago to Charlotte. We have another family in our congregation who have a daughter adopted from China as well as a couple (one of whom is Chinese) whom are raising their children Jewish. We also have African American members, etc. I believe that reflective of the broader culture, our culture is changing as well. How lucky we are to be a part of a religion that is so accommodating and spiritually fulfilling. I truly hope and believe that your child will not only be accepted, but embraced by your chosen congregation.
