HI Trish, I am a single mom of three, and I am 47. I have adopted two special needs children for my last three since I did not want to wait like I did the first time (18 months). There are so many cute kids with minor correctable needs you really should take a look. Some agencies may steer you that way at your age anyway. I have adopted two kids with cl/cp one boy and one girl and they are great. They had their palates repaired within two months of coming home from China without any problems.
Both adoptions took about 7months total start to travel.
