Sorry this may be long.

My husband and I have chosen to adopt a waiting child. We live in Michigan. We aren't foster parents, and we don't know where to begin.

My questions:

Do we need to become foster parents to adopt a child from the foster care system that has been TPRed?

Should we go through a private agency?


I don't seem to be getting any answers from DHS here.

Any help would be appreciated.
