I worry too about my kids going in cars with others. If I were in your situation and had a child care worker who would be transporting my kids somewhere, I would:
1. Make sure they have a safe car.
2. Make sure the car seat is installed properly.
3. Make sure that the babysitter knows that the baby MUST ALWAYS be in a carseat.
4. Check driving record.
Maybe I'm a little overprotective, but if something were to happen, I would never forgive myself if I didn't check out the above.
