Hi, everyone. We are getting ready to send out our adoption announcements and I'd like your feedback on something.

We are thinking of wording it like this:

"With tremendous joy we welcome NAME to our family."

Born DATE, Guatemala
Joined our family forever DATE."

Here's my question-- we're certainly not trying to avoid using the word adoption or anything, and it should be obvious that we've adopted, but does that language make it sound as if we don't want to use the word for some reason? We mostly just like the idea of it being a "welcome" notice, rather than an adoption announcement. Not sure if that makes sense, but that's what I'm thinking.
