in celebration of boys...
OK, I have been thinking about how different my boys are from me. I know the following activities are not just boy activities and girls can and do do them as well. I don't have any little girls, so I am basing this on my own experience. I want to have a little celebration here in honor of my boys. Please feel free to join me!
I find interesting things in my 5 year old's pockets. I no longer check his pockets but make him empty them since the gecko that was supposed to live in his pocket didn't make it.
I have a HUGE collection of sticks, leaves, acorns, rocks, weeds, wilted flowers, and grass from my children. They give them to me and I usually don't part with them, although dh will after awhile. It's ok though, I know I'll get a lot more.
I lovingly display a bottle of dirt. Yes, dirt! It is Oklahaoma dirt and ds had never been to OK before so he had to bring back a bottle of their dirt. It is on my hutch! I will display it as long as he wants to. I did have to move it out of reach of my 2 year old, because he really thinks the dirt belongs on the kitchen floor.
I have more gray hairs that I used to now! My boys, both of them, are not afraid of heights, hard surfaces, and yes, they think they can fly!
My boys have added so much fun, excitement, and noise into my house! I love it and wouldn't trade them for anything. Yes I have bad days, but they are oh so worth it!
I wouldn't trade my boys for anything or anyone.
