I live in the South and I would love to say racism is not a problem, but it still is. I have already heard comments made toward my son that I didn't appreciate, but I was too dumbstruck at the time to come up with an educated answer. Luckily, we live in a large town that has many different cultures represented. I do plan to teach my son about racism.....so if anyone can give some good tips, I'm listening!!
