My DH & I have decided that we definitely want to adopt from China & are planning on starting the process next month. We have been trying to have a child together (We have 2 from my previous marriage) for over 3yrs. If I am not pregnant this month then we are going to start the adoption process.

My question is this: What happens if I get pregnant during the next 12-18mos while we are in the process? Will they stop our adoption? I am trying to decide if we would need to be on birth control or if we could keep trying. Does it differ from agency to agency or is it a country requirement to stop an adoption if the mother becomes pregnant.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
