Hi,

We will be starting the process to adopt through Columbia and I have a couple of questions. The fees we were quoted differ greatly between adopting from an orphanage vs the government. Can someone explain why the difference? Also, we were told that both parents must travel to pick up the child, my husband might have to be deployed but he should be back before that time (according to the long waiting time) but in a situation where he is not has anyone traveled there without both parents?
