Thanks for the input; it is hard to know. One concern that I have is that they very much desire to be around our daughter (bio), and shower her with toys and clothes whenever they see her. If all of our kids were adopted and non-white, then I guess if my father-in-law didn't want to see them, then they wouldn't really know any differently, but what if he continues to want to see our bio daughter but not the other kids? It is so hard; as I have said, it makes me very sad to think that our future could hinge on this bigot, but on the other hand, I don't want him to make our kids feel unloved, either.
